The challenge
A second fixed character who could play off Soph.ia: someone who hosts, asks and laughs. He had to hold up in extreme close-ups, full body and costume without losing his face.
The idea
Enrique is the studio’s co-host and interviewer, late-show style. Early thirties, curly brown hair, moustache and goatee, olive skin. And there is a trick: he is built on my own features. He is my avatar, meant to speak with my voice.
The process
Soul ID trained on a set of 17 photos, leaving out those with sunglasses or hands distorting the face. The same lesson as with Soph.ia: a mandatory realism block and natural light so the skin has pores. Then a full kit to push the identity to its limit: faces and expressions, detail, body in motion and costumed context.
Result
One character with the same face in a portrait, mid-jump and in a soldier’s uniform. He is Soph.ia’s partner for the interview format and shares a website with her.
